Morocco layover tours: a city between flights.

A layover tour gets you out of the airport at Fes, Casablanca or Marrakech and into the city between flights: the Fes medina, or the mosque by the sea in Casablanca. We plan the day backwards from your departure time and keep a fixed buffer, so you reach the terminal with time to spare.

Honest about the clock

Fes and Marrakech have airports close to their old cities, which makes them the easiest layovers in Morocco. Casablanca's airport is about 30 km out, so it needs a longer gap.

Minimum gaps. As a guide: about 6 hours at Marrakech, 7 at Fes and 8 at Casablanca before an international departure.

Entry rules apply. Leaving the airport means entering Morocco. Check whether your passport needs a visa before you book.

The buffer is fixed. We aim to have you back at least 3 hours before an international departure. A late landing shortens the tour, not the buffer.

Luggage. Hand luggage stays in the locked vehicle with the driver. Bags checked through stay airside; separate tickets change the timing.

Before you ask

The questions people ask us most before they plan a trip.

Can I leave the airport during a layover in Morocco?
Yes, if you are admitted to Morocco at passport control. That means your passport must meet Morocco's entry rules; some nationalities need a visa. Check our visa and entry guide before you book.
What is the minimum layover for a tour?
As a guide: about 6 hours at Marrakech (RAK), 7 hours at Fes (FEZ) and 8 hours at Casablanca (CMN) before an international departure. The difference is mostly the distance from airport to city.
How do you make sure I make my flight?
We plan backwards from your departure. The return to the terminal is fixed first, with at least 3 hours before an international departure, and the sightseeing fills whatever time remains. A late landing shortens the tour, never the buffer.
What about my luggage?
Hand luggage stays in the locked vehicle with the driver. Checked bags tagged through to your final destination stay airside. On separate tickets you may need to collect and re-check bags, which changes the timing.

Tell us your dates. We'll plan it with you.

  1. Tell us what drew you in. Your dates, who is travelling and what you want to see.
  2. A person reads it. We write a day-by-day plan for your group, private or small-group.
  3. You change anything. Then we confirm the guides, drivers and riads.
