The 2027 dates aren't announced yet. Recent editions have run in May or early June, with evening concerts at Bab al-Makina and afternoons in the Jnan Sbil garden. Here is what we know, and how to plan a trip around it before the programme is out.

What the festival is
Founded by the Fassi Sufi scholar Faouzi Skali, it brings sacred and spiritual music from many faiths and countries to Fes, with concerts, Sufi nights and talks.

The madrasas, the tanneries and the craft quarters while it's cool, before the concerts start.

When is the Fes Festival of World Sacred Music 2027?
The organisers have not announced the 2027 dates yet. Recent editions have taken place in May or early June. We will update this page as soon as the dates are published on fesfestival.com.
Where are the concerts held?
In past editions, the big evening concerts have been held at Bab al-Makina, a walled courtyard on the edge of Fes el-Jdid, with smaller afternoon concerts in the Jnan Sbil garden and other venues around the medina. The 2027 programme will confirm the venues.
When did the festival start?
The first edition took place in 1994. It was created by the Fes Sufi scholar Faouzi Skali to bring together sacred music from different faiths and cultures, and it is run today by the Fondation Esprit de Fès.
Should I book my Fes trip before the dates are announced?
You can start planning now. Tell us the window you are considering, and we will hold a flexible plan and adjust the days once the programme is out. Riads near the medina gates are popular during the festival, so earlier planning gives you more choice.
Do you sell festival tickets?
No. Tickets and passes are sold by the festival itself. We plan everything around the concerts: the riad, the medina days with a guide, transfers and day trips.
