From Fes-Saiss arrivals to your hotel door in the ville nouvelle
The ville nouvelle is the simplest arrival in Fes, because its broad avenues let the car pull up at your hotel entrance. Your driver meets you in arrivals with a name sign, tracks your real landing time and drives you across the Saiss plain. Child seats are fitted on request, and fuel, tolls and parking sit in one written quote.
- Distance: About 12 to 15 km
- Drive time: 20 to 35 min
- Drop-off: Hotel door
How the arrival runs
The ville nouvelle, built in the French protectorate era, is where most of Fes's larger hotels sit along broad avenues such as Avenue Hassan II. Unlike the medina, cars can pull up at the door, so this is the simplest arrival in the city.
Landing
Met in arrivals
20 to 35 min
Straight to the hotel
Road distances and times are typical ranges for a private car, without stops.
How we run it
It is also the best base if you have early flights or a lot of luggage. We meet you in arrivals and drive you straight to the hotel entrance.
Private
Private is the default for airport transfers: the vehicle and driver are yours alone, waiting for your flight, leaving when you are through the doors. Nobody else's delayed suitcase holds you up.
Small-group
Small-group sharing is possible only when another party is landing on the same flight or within a short window and heading the same way. If you ask, we will tell you honestly whether a shared run is realistic for your date; most of the time it is not, and private is simpler.
What we arrange
- Driver waiting in arrivals with a name sign, after passport control and baggage reclaim
- Your flight number watched on the day, so a delay moves the pickup instead of cancelling it
- A vehicle sized to your party and your luggage, agreed before you fly
- Child and infant seats fitted on request (tell us ages and weights)
- Bottled water on board and a phone or WhatsApp contact for the driver
- Fuel, tolls and parking folded into one written quote
Best season
Year-round.

Staying in the medina later?
If you move from a new-town hotel to a medina riad mid-stay, the same gate-and-porter planning applies. Tell us and we arrange the hop across town.
Entry formalities come first
Passport control at Moroccan airports can be quick or slow depending on how many flights land together. Check whether your nationality needs a visa before you fly; our visa and entry guide sets out how to check.
