A private driver from Fes, for a day or for the whole trip

A private driver from Fes gives you your own car for a day out or a full road trip, with stops wherever you ask. Popular runs are Volubilis and Meknes, Chefchaouen at 3.5–4 hours, Merzouga at 470 km, and the long way to Marrakech. Sedan, 4x4 or minivan, custom-quoted.

The freedom of a car without driving it

Driving in Morocco is doable, but the medina gates, the mountain roads and the police checkpoints are easier with someone who does it every week. A driver also means you can look out of the window.

Stop for the macaques, a roadside tagine, a kasbah you spotted. Your driver adjusts the day, finds the parking and knows which café has a clean bathroom.

A local guide if you want one

Drivers do not guide inside medinas or ruins; we add a local guide on request.

Back at your gate, or at your next riad on a road trip.

Who's driving

A Fes-based driver who speaks English or French, with Spanish on request, and who drives these roads every week. We name your driver in the written proposal. Drivers drive; inside the medinas and at Volubilis we add a local guide if you want one.

Before you ask us

The questions people ask us most before they plan a trip.

Can I hire a private driver in Fes for one day?
Yes. A day with a driver is the simplest way to see Volubilis and Meknes, Chefchaouen, Ifrane or Sefrou on your own timetable. You set the stops and the pace, and the driver handles the roads and parking. Tell us where you want to go and we send a written plan with a custom quote.
Does the driver also guide?
Drivers know the roads and the region and are happy to talk, but they do not guide inside the medinas or at archaeological sites. For the Fes medina, Meknes or Volubilis we add a local guide for those hours, so you get the history from someone who specialises in it.
Can the driver take us from Fes to Marrakech?
Yes, two ways. The direct route is 530 km, 5.5–6.5 hours via Rabat and Casablanca, in a single day. The scenic route goes through the Middle Atlas or the Sahara over two to four days, with nights on the way. Your driver stays with you the whole time.
Is it safe to drive in Morocco, or should we hire a driver?
Self-driving is possible on the motorways, but mountain roads, unmarked junctions, medina parking and checkpoints make a driver far less tiring. Many visitors start with a self-drive plan and switch after reading about it. A driver also lets everyone in the car enjoy the view.

Tell us your dates. We'll plan it with you.

  1. Tell us what drew you in. Your dates, who is travelling and what you want to see.
  2. A person reads it. We write a day-by-day plan for your group, private or small-group.
  3. You change anything. Then we confirm the guides, drivers and riads.
