From Casablanca arrivals to the gates of Fes

A private Casablanca airport to Fes transfer is one drive east on the toll motorway, skirting Rabat and passing Meknes, with a rest stop on the way. Your driver meets you in arrivals at Mohammed V and works from your real landing time. In Fes you reach your hotel door, or the medina gate with a porter to your riad.

How the arrival runs

Most long-haul flights into Morocco land at Casablanca Mohammed V, about 30 km outside the city. From there Fes is a straight run east on the toll motorway, skirting Rabat and passing Meknes.

How we run it

After an overnight flight, the appeal is simple: no station change with luggage, no timetable, and a driver who takes you to the right medina gate with a porter waiting. If you would rather take the train, we will say so honestly; it is a real option.

Private

Private is the default for airport transfers: the vehicle and driver are yours alone, waiting for your flight, leaving when you are through the doors. Nobody else's delayed suitcase holds you up.

Small-group

Small-group sharing is possible only when another party is landing on the same flight or within a short window and heading the same way. If you ask, we will tell you honestly whether a shared run is realistic for your date; most of the time it is not, and private is simpler.

What we arrange

  • Driver waiting in arrivals with a name sign, after passport control and baggage reclaim
  • Your flight number watched on the day, so a delay moves the pickup instead of cancelling it
  • A vehicle sized to your party and your luggage, agreed before you fly
  • Child and infant seats fitted on request (tell us ages and weights)
  • Bottled water on board and a phone or WhatsApp contact for the driver
  • Fuel, tolls and parking folded into one written quote
  • Medina gate and porter arranged with your riad

Best season

Year-round; the motorway is unaffected by season.

The honest details

Train or car?

A rail link runs from the airport into Casablanca, and ONCF trains connect Casablanca with Fes. It costs less but means a change and handling bags. The car is door to door and suits families, heavy luggage and late arrivals.

Long-haul fatigue

After an overnight flight, three-plus hours is a long sit. Some travellers prefer a night in Casablanca or Rabat and an unhurried drive the next day. We can plan either.

Cars cannot enter the Fes medina

Fes el-Bali is car-free. Vehicles stop at the nearest gate or car park to your riad (Bab Boujloud, Bab Guissa, Bab R'cif, Bab Ftouh and others), and the last stretch is on foot. A porter with a handcart carries the bags through the lanes, and many riads send someone to meet you at the gate. Tell us the riad's name and we work out the right gate with them before you land.

Entry formalities come first

Passport control at Moroccan airports can be quick or slow depending on how many flights land together. Check whether your nationality needs a visa before you fly; our visa and entry guide sets out how to check.

Questions, answered

What people ask us most before they book this.

Where will the driver meet me at Casablanca Mohammed V airport?
In the arrivals hall, once you have cleared passport control, collected your bags and passed customs. The driver holds a sign with the name you give us. We send the driver's name and phone or WhatsApp number before you travel, so you can call if you cannot see the sign straight away.
What happens if my flight is delayed or early?
We watch your flight number on the day and plan the pickup around the actual landing time, not the scheduled one. A delay moves your pickup; it does not cancel it. If you miss a connection and land on a different flight altogether, message us the new flight number as soon as you know it.
How much luggage can we bring?
Tell us the number of travellers and bags (including golf bags, surfboards, buggies or wheelchairs) when you ask for a quote. We size the vehicle to the luggage, not just the headcount, so nobody ends up with a suitcase on their lap.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, on request. Give us each child's age and approximate weight and we fit an appropriate infant seat, child seat or booster before the driver leaves for the airport. Please ask at quote stage rather than on arrival.
Is the transfer private or shared?
Private by default: one party, one vehicle. A shared small-group run only happens when another party is on the same flight or close to it and travelling the same way, and we will only suggest it when it genuinely works.
How much does it cost?
Every transfer is quoted for your party, your luggage, your arrival time and your exact drop-off. Send the details through the quote form and we reply with one written figure that already includes fuel, tolls and the driver's waiting time.
Can we stop in Rabat on the way to Fes?
Yes. Rabat is on the route, and a stop at the Hassan Tower or the Kasbah of the Udayas adds a couple of hours. Tell us at quote stage and we plan it into the day.

Tell us your dates. We'll plan it with you.

  1. Tell us what drew you in. Your dates, who is travelling and what you want to see.
  2. A person reads it. We write a day-by-day plan for your group, private or small-group.
  3. You change anything. Then we confirm the guides, drivers and riads.
